- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for batter)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar + 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Stir in egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until just combined.
- Spread batter into the pan. Mix topping sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle on top.
- Bake for 22–25 minutes until edges are set. Cool before slicing.
Notes
- Do not overbake for chewy texture.
- Use parchment for easy removal.
- Store in airtight container up to 4 days.
