- 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup dark rum
- 3 tbsp corn syrup
- Assorted coatings: powdered sugar, cocoa, sprinkles, coconut
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine crushed wafers, cocoa, powdered sugar, and nuts if using.
- Add in rum and corn syrup. Mix until dough forms.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes to firm.
- Roll into 1-inch balls and coat in your choice of toppings.
- Store in airtight container in fridge for at least 24 hours before serving.
Notes
- Can substitute dark rum with bourbon or spiced rum for variation.
- Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for 2 months.
- Non-alcoholic version: use orange juice or apple cider instead of rum.
