Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add egg, vanilla, and molasses to wet mixture and beat to combine.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Cover and chill dough for 2 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls. Coat first in granulated sugar, then powdered sugar.
- Place on baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes until crinkled.
- Cool on wire rack. Store in airtight container.
