- 1 lb carrots, peeled and sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Peel and slice the carrots on a bias.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.
- Add carrots to the skillet and coat with glaze.
- Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes until tender.
- Uncover and simmer 5 more minutes until glaze thickens.
- Optional: broil for 1 minute for caramelized edges.
- Garnish and serve warm.
Notes
- Add orange zest or juice for a citrus twist.
- Sprinkle with fresh thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
