  • Total Time: 2 hours 45 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 bone-in spiral ham (8-10 lbs)
  • 1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 1/4 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Whole cloves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Score ham in a criss-cross pattern and place in roasting pan.
  3. In saucepan, combine orange juice, brown sugar, honey, zest, and optional spices. Simmer 5–7 minutes.
  4. Brush glaze over ham and cover loosely with foil.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes per pound, basting with glaze every 30 minutes.
  6. Uncover for final 30 minutes to allow glaze to caramelize.
  7. Remove from oven, let rest 15 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • Use fresh orange juice for best flavor.
  • For a deeper glaze, add a splash of bourbon.
  • Leftovers make great sandwiches or breakfast hash.
