- 1 lb ground chicken (preferably thighs)
- 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all ingredients gently until just mixed.
- Form into 8 small patties using your hands.
- Chill patties in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve warm or let cool and freeze for later use.
Notes
- Don’t overmix the meat to keep sausages tender.
- Use fresh herbs if available for stronger flavor.
- Freeze cooked or raw patties for up to 3 months.
