Ingredients

  • 1 loaf brioche bread, cubed
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Add half of the cubed bread, sprinkle with half the blueberries.
  3. Top with remaining bread and blueberries.
  4. In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar.
  5. Pour mixture evenly over bread. Press lightly to soak.
  6. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes until golden and set.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use day-old or toasted bread for best texture.
  • Frozen blueberries work well—no need to thaw.
