- 1 loaf brioche bread, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter for greasing
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Add half of the cubed bread, sprinkle with half the blueberries.
- Top with remaining bread and blueberries.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar.
- Pour mixture evenly over bread. Press lightly to soak.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use day-old or toasted bread for best texture.
- Frozen blueberries work well—no need to thaw.
- Add lemon zest for a citrus twist.
