Instructions
- Activate yeast in warm milk and sugar. Let sit until foamy (about 5–10 mins).
- Mix in flour and knead into a soft dough.
- Add softened butter and salt. Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled.
- Shape into loaf pan, proof again for 45 mins. Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure milk is warm, not hot, for activating yeast.
- Use bread flour for a chewier texture if preferred.
- You can freeze slices and reheat as needed.
