- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup jam (raspberry, strawberry, or apricot)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Mix in flour and salt until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Press a thumb gently into the center of each ball to create an indentation.
- Fill each indentation with 1/2 teaspoon of jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
- Freeze unbaked dough for up to 2 months.
