- 1.5 lbs boneless chicken thighs, cut into chunks
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tsp red chili flakes
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp minced ginger
- 1 tsp cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 1 tbsp water)
- Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Toss chicken chunks with garlic powder, salt, and cornstarch until fully coated.
- Fry chicken in hot oil (350°F) until golden brown and crispy. Drain on wire rack.
- In a pan, mix soy sauce, honey, sugar, vinegar, sriracha, chili flakes, garlic, and ginger. Simmer.
- Add cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens and bubbles.
- Toss crispy chicken into the sauce until fully coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve hot.

- Use thighs for better flavor and moisture
- Adjust spice by controlling sriracha and chili flakes
- Serve over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps
