This Garlic Butter Beef Tenderloin is the ultimate centerpiece—tender, juicy, and infused with rich garlic herb butter.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole beef tenderloin (3-4 lbs)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Season tenderloin generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until golden.
  4. Stir in rosemary, thyme, and lemon juice.
  5. Sear tenderloin on all sides in hot skillet.
  6. Brush with garlic butter and transfer to oven.
  7. Roast for 20–25 minutes or until 125°F internal temp.
  8. Baste with remaining butter every 10 minutes.
  9. Remove and rest covered with foil for 15 minutes.
  10. Slice and serve with pan drippings.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for best doneness.
  • Make garlic butter ahead for easy prep.
  • Leftovers make excellent sandwiches or breakfast hash.
