Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 4 tbsp butter, melted (plus more for brushing)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining it with warm milk and sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, melted butter, and yeast mixture until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape into balls and place in a greased 9×13 pan.
- Cover and let rise again for 30–45 minutes until puffy.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- While warm, brush generously with garlic butter and serve hot.
Notes
- Add a sprinkle of chopped parsley to your garlic butter for color and freshness.
- These rolls freeze beautifully—just reheat in the oven and brush with more garlic butter.
- You can also stuff them with cheese cubes before baking for a fun twist.
