Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder approx. 7g
  • 2 cups cold water 16 fl oz
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1 fl oz
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 teaspoon raw honey
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ginger powder

Method
 

  1. Pour ½ cup cold water into a small bowl. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of unflavored gelatin powder over the water and let it bloom for 2 minutes.
  2. Heat 1½ cups of water to around 160°F. Pour the hot water over the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and any optional add-ins. Pour the mixture into a glass dish.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  5. Once set, slice into portions and serve cold, ideally before a meal.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Do not freeze.
