Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz full-fat cream cheese
  • 1 oz packet ranch seasoning mix about 2 tablespoons
  • ¼ cup chicken broth optional
For the Toppings
  • 6 strips bacon
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 4 oz

Method
 

  1. Spray the slow cooker insert with non-stick cooking spray or use a slow cooker liner.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the slow cooker.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  4. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and scatter over the seasoned chicken.
  5. If using, pour the chicken broth over the chicken.
  6. Set the slow cooker to LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours.
  7. Once the chicken is fully cooked, shred it with two forks in the slow cooker.
  8. Add the crumbled bacon into the shredded chicken and stir.
  9. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt for 5–10 minutes.
  10. Serve hot, either on buns, over rice, or as desired.
